I want to start off by saying a big thank-you to Hauns Froehlingsdorf for donating the bandwidth these last several years and making PMTV possible. Without Hauns, PMTV would never have existed.
As some of you may have noticed, PurpleMartin.tv has been unavailable for a couple of months. The short story is that the free website and media streaming hosting expired due to a change in management at the donor organization. Not Hauns’ fault… in fact I think that Hauns is only peripherally involved with the new ISP owner.
Anyways, all of this means that PMTV needs to be re-envisioned. I still want PMTV to be the place where purple martin landlords can share their purple martin colony and nest video streams, and I want PMTV to be the place where purple martin lovers can congregate and see these beautiful birds in action.
So…stay tuned. PMTV is not dead… it just got put back into the egg. It’ll hatch soon, I promise!
